Luc Marengère, PhD Director

Dr. Marengère joined VenGrowth Capital Management Inc. in 2001, and has since led the growth and management of the VenGrowth Advanced Life Sciences Fund. He brings a comprehensive knowledge of many therapeutic areas, as well as breadth of strategic expertise in the biotechnology industry. During the last 10 years Dr. Marengère has worked with a broad range of opportunities and was involved in positioning many of those companies towards financial exits. Dr. Marengère possesses extensive sector-specific transactional experience. Dr. Marengère also conducted commercial research at Amgen in the fields of immunology and oncology. Dr. Marengère has served as a Director on Boards of the Company and Canadian-based companies and is currently a Director on the Boards of Aegera Therapeutics Inc., Z-Tech Canada Inc., Trillium Therapeutics Inc. and Cytochroma Inc. Dr. Marengère holds a Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics and Molecular Genetics from the University of Toronto.
