Alan
Lewis, PhD
Chairman
Dr. Lewis is serving as President and CEO
of Novocell, Inc. Prior to joining Novocell, Dr. Lewis served
as CEO and Director of Signal Pharmaceuticals before its acquisition
in 2000 by Celgene, a biopharmaceutical company focused on
the discovery, development, and commercialization of small
molecule drugs for cancer and immunological diseases. He then
served as President of the Signal Research Division at Celgene.
Dr. Lewis previously held the position of Vice President of
Research at Wyeth-Ayerst, where he spent 15 years leading research
efforts in diabetes, CNS, cardiovascular, inflammatory, allergy,
and bone metabolism diseases. Dr. Lewis also currently serves
as a Director of Sosei Group and BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Inc.
Dr. Lewis received a B.Sc. in Physiology and Biochemistry from
Southampton University, Southampton, Hampshire, U.K., a Ph.D.
in Pharmacology from the University of Wales, Cardiff, U.K.
and an Honorary Fellow and Chair of the Life Sciences Department
at the University of Wales in Swansea, U.K.
Søren
Schifter, MD, GDBA, DMsc
Director
Dr. Schifter joined Novo A/S in 2001. Prior
to this he held a position as Chief Physician at the Department
of Clinical Physiology and Nuclear Medicine, Glostrup Hospital,
Copenhagen University and as Clinical Associate Professor
at Copenhagen University. Dr. Schifter has an M.D. from Aarhus
University, DMSc. from Copenhagen University and has specialist
certification in Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Physiology.
He also holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration
from Copenhagen Business School. In Novo A/S, Dr. Schifter's
responsibilities include all aspects of investment projects
as well as business development of portfolio companies. He
was a board member of Neurodan A/S until the company was
successfully exited by acquisition in March 2005, and he
is currently on the boards of Celltrix AB, Cytochroma Inc.
and MediQuest Therapeutics, Inc.

Elizabeth
Douville, PhD
Director
Dr. Douville has served as Vice President
on the team of GeneChem Management Inc., a leading North
American life sciences venture capital fund manager, for
10 years. She is now a Partner of AgeChem Financial which
manages their third fund dedicated to diseases related
to ageing. She is an active member of the boards of directors
of Cytochroma Inc., Ambit Biosciences Inc., and Chronogen
Inc. and was also a board member of Idun Pharmaceuticals
Inc. before its sale to Pfizer in 2005. Dr. Douville obtained
her Ph.D. in biochemistry at the University of Ottawa,
studying the role of protein kinases in oncogenesis. She
then received postdoctoral training at the Imperial Cancer
Research Fund in London (U.K.) where she studied oncogenes
and their signal transduction pathways.

Luc
Marengère, PhD
Director
Dr. Marengère joined VenGrowth
Capital Management Inc. in 2001, and has since led the
growth and management of the VenGrowth Advanced Life
Sciences Fund. He brings a comprehensive knowledge of
many therapeutic areas, as well as breadth of strategic
expertise in the biotechnology industry. During the last
10 years Dr. Marengère has worked with a broad
range of opportunities and was involved in positioning
many of those companies towards financial exits. Dr.
Marengère possesses extensive sector-specific
transactional experience. Dr. Marengère also conducted
commercial research at Amgen in the fields of immunology
and oncology. Dr. Marengère has served as a Director
on Boards of the Company and Canadian-based companies
and is currently a Director on the Boards of Aegera Therapeutics
Inc., Z-Tech Canada Inc., Trillium Therapeutics Inc.
and Cytochroma Inc. Dr. Marengère holds a Ph.D.
in Medical Biophysics and Molecular Genetics from the
University of Toronto.

Charles
W. Bishop, PhD
CEO and President, Cytochroma
Inc.
Dr. Bishop has over 21 years of management
experience in the pharmaceutical industry across multiple disciplines
including Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Operations,
and Business Development. Dr. Bishop co-founded Proventiv Therapeutics
in September 2005 where he served as President. Proventiv Therapeutics
was acquired by Cytochroma Inc. in June 2006. During the period
of September 1987 to June 2005, Dr. Bishop held various senior
management positions at Bone Care International, Inc., a public
specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing and
commercializing Vitamin D hormone therapies. Under Dr. Bishop's
direction, Bone Care advanced a portfolio of proprietary Vitamin
D hormones and analogs to varying stages of development for
secondary hyperparathyroidism, metabolic bone disease, psoriasis
and cancers of the prostate, breast and colon. Dr. Bishop was
responsible for the successful preparation and prosecution
of three New Drug Applications (NDAs) that ultimately led to
FDA approval of a novel Vitamin D drug, named doxercalciferol,
for secondary hyperparathyroidism in dialysis patients (Hectorol® 2.5
mcg Capsules and Hectorol® Injection) and pre-dialysis
patients (Hectorol® 0.5 mcg Capsules). Dr. Bishop’s
positions with Bone Care included President, CEO, Director,
Executive Vice President of Research and Development, and Chief
Scientific Officer. Prior to joining Bone Care, Dr. Bishop
held various management positions in the Health Care Division
of the Procter & Gamble Company. Dr. Bishop completed a
four-year National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellowship
in Vitamin D Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
and received his Ph.D. degree in Nutritional Biochemistry from
Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, after
earning an undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University
of Virginia.
